Smaller class sizes and awareness and respect for individual circumstances ensure that the high school continues to thrive with students all known by name.
Students have different learning styles and abilities and we aim to support them to achieve their best.
We tailor education to improve learning outcomes. In Years 7-10, students engage extensively in the four core subjects (English, Mathematics, HASS and Science). There is also a broad choice of options available, which increase in complexity, and choice as students approach Year 11 and 12.
We believe in academic excellence and strive to attain the best outcomes from all students.
Students will be challenged in their learning, exposed to all dimensions of the Australian Curriculum, and homework is expected of all students.
HillSide provides academic pathways that match student ability and talent. The College currently streams Years 7-10 to enable effective curriculum delivery. Students engage in a robust programme that reports student performance unequivocally. In conjunction with NAPLAN, OLNA and WACE, parents can be sure of learning levels. Our teachers work with families to improve results.
Year 11 & 12 students have a good range of options to suit their future aspirations. Students intending to sit for WACE accreditation will have quality teaching to assist their achievement. Our current WACE projections indicate 100% achievement.
Students intending to enter University will be supported to achieve the best possible ATAR score. Our teachers are experienced in providing education that produces positive results. For those students intending to enter a trade or TAFE pathway, either WACE or VET courses are tailored to the students’ needs. We educate your child to be employable after they leave the College.
HillSide is a safe and secure learning environment. Visitors to HillSide often remark on how positive and nurturing the culture is.
We believe in encouraging and reinforcing positive interactions that enable our students to develop and grow on the HillSide Campus. Behaviour standards are high and student learning is the focus.
We have a creative and holistic approach to learning that helps our students to add wisdom to the knowledge that they are retaining. Our students are successful young people with social, academic and spiritual skills enabling them to reach the next level. HillSide offers a reward-style outing at the end of each term, and overseas partnerships that take our students to Cambodia on outreach projects.
Our College continues to go from strength to strength so why not choose quality secondary education in the beautiful surroundings of the HillSide Campus. We look forward to partnering with you and engaging in providing a top class learning environment for your child.

At HillSide Christian College, Year 11 and 12 students complete a program of study involving Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses, Vocational Education and Training (VET) packages, and/or Endorsed Programs. These are designed to cater to various post-school pathways, including university, further training, or direct entry into the workforce. Students can choose from several pathways depending on their career aspirations.
Students can choose courses that will leave options open for both university and TAFE. Entry to university generally requires achievement in courses at a higher level than entry to TAFE. In addition, both institutions have prerequisite courses for many programs.
